Born in Melbourne, Australia in 1994, Joshua had little interest in... anything... even reading!

The only exception to this, however, was video games—some days he would be out saving an alien race, others he would be defeating an army of darkness.

Exploring virtual worlds and meeting the many characters living within them, Joshua began wanting to create his own worlds with his own characters, turning these video games which may have first been a bad habit, into a tool for inspiration. Before writing was even a thought however, Joshua was first looking to join the Police Force, and studied Criminal Justice at university. After picking up studying, it wasn't long before it was put back down, and after one semester, Joshua left, but still intended on joining the force at 21.

As Joshua began to write just for fun, he found he had more heart than expected in the creative realm. Realising he cared so much more about his writing projects than anything else, he began looking at ways to turn writing into a career, and began to pursue that over joining the force.

Starting a number of stories, one really began to snowball and come to life. After many changes from points of view, to main characters, this story has evolved to become Joshua's first published book: Liberate Me.
